Website Dance Data Project
The role of the DDP intern is to assist in both the execution and verification of DDP metrics and expansion of DDP’s research efforts. He/she will work directly with the Director of Research, who will assign the intern projects ranging from data-collection (collecting accurate information and sources for inclusion in aggregate databases analyzed for DDP reports) to basic research for the DDP website (www.dancedataproject.com) and allies.
We are seeking an individual with proven ability to listen carefully and perform high-volume tasks on his/her own time. This position requires extreme attention to detail, discretion, and organizational skills. He/she will be responsible for completing tasks in a timely manner and reporting back to the Director of Research on progress regularly. Tasks will be assigned on a weekly/bi-weekly basis, and may vary in intensity. Applicants should be artistically and culturally aware and have some knowledge of artistic administration/nonprofit administration.
Applicants invited to speak with the project’s founder and the Director of Research may be asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement before in-depth information regarding project functions is provided. The hired intern will sign a non-disclosure agreement before commencing work for the project and will be held to strict expectations of discretion as a member of our team.
1. Is keenly accurate (even in repetitive tasks)
2. Has an ability to learn quickly and follow specific instructions from Director of Research
3. Has experience with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
4. Has a proven understanding of statistics and/or data entry at a college level
5. Can write clearly and concisely without grammatical/spelling errors
6. Is discreet in his/her discussion of the project
7. Is highly organized and self-motivated to report weekly to the DDP team on progress and carry out tasks without reminders

The team manages data concerning the lack of leadership opportunities for women in all aspects of classical ballet. We apply a metrics-based approach in data analytics of inclusion in the dance industry that is the first of its kind and has the potential to fundamentally change our community.
