AKC Humane Fund

Overview: The AKC Humane Fund offers grants to help support pet-related organizations across the nation.

Funding areas: AKC’s Women’s Shelters Grant makes it easier for women’s shelters to welcome pets and help break the cycle of domestic abuse. Their website explains “We know that when a woman enters your shelter she’s already facing countless challenges. Leaving her pet behind doesn’t have to be one of them.”
