Funding Areas: American Express makes grants in three areas:  Developing Leaders, Preserving Places, and Serving Communities For Developing Leaders*for emerging nonprofit and social purpose leaders through one or more of the following:* Helping nonprofit organizations create and continue leadership development programs for their high potential emerging leaders.* Diversifying the current landscape of nonprofit leaders.* Transformation of organizations through leadership and management practices, implementing to attract and retain leadership talent.   American Express recently dedicated $1 billion in new dollars towards diversity and inclusion. Included in this was their partnership with IFundWomen to launch the 100 for 100 program, which provided 100 grants and 100 days of resources to Black women-owned businesses.
