Central American Women’s Fund / Fondo Centroamericano de Mujeres (FCAM)

Overview: FCAM supports innovative and creative initiatives of women’s groups and organizations – especially those led by young women – working to promote their rights in their countries. FCAM prioritizes initiatives presented by groups: Led or comprised of a majority of young women (between the ages of 16 and 30), located far from urban centers, in rural areas or in the Caribbean, that work with new or controversial issues with little access to other donors and/or Made up of marginalized groups of young women: indigenous and Afro-Caribbean women, women with disabilities, lesbians, bisexuals, trans, sex workers, HIV positive women, among others.
