Colin Higgins Foundation
Overview: Through its grantmaking activities, The Colin Higgins Foundation supports organizations that build the power and leadership of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered youth (age 13-24). More specifically, the organization has funded grassroots initiatives striving for institutional and social change for LGBTQ+ youth and adults, as well as other historically underprivileged groups in the U.S. One of the most notable partnerships of the foundation was its early support for the Trevor Project, a non-profit organization focused on suicide prevention in LGBTQ+ youth.
