Overview: Distinguished Young Women (DYW) is a national scholarship program for high school girls. It pushes young women to further their education and prepare for a successful future. DYW incorporates scholarships, programs, and national talent competitions. Funding areas: Distinguished Young Women awards over  $1 billion in scholarships each year. There are two kinds of scholarships: Cash scholarships and College-Granted Scholarships. Applicants must participate in a local DYW program and meet scholastic, talent, fitness, and self-expression criteria.
