Georgetown Law School – Women’s Law and Public Policy Fellowship Program
Overview: The Women's Law & Public Policy Fellowship Program (WLPPFP) at the Georgetown Law School offers two fellowship programs each year for attorneys committed to using their legal talents to advocate for women's rights. Eligible attorneys can apply for one of two programs: the WLPPFP Fellowship or the LAWA Fellowship.
The WLPPFP Fellowship is a 12-month work study program, where Fellows from the U.S. work on women's legal issues with a governmental agency or public interest organization, or as a clinical teaching fellow at the school.
The Leadership & Advocacy for Women in Africa (LAWA) Fellowship connects women's rights lawyers from Africa to Master of Laws (LL.M) degrees at Georgetown Law. After the Fellows have received their degrees, they participate in a post-graduate summer legal internship experience in the U.S., after which they have the experience and education to continue advancing women's rights upon return to their home countries.
