Grantmakers for Girls of Color (G4GC)

Overview: Grantmakers for Girls of Color (G4GC) is a platform that advocates for women and girls of color by broadcasting research and resources such as grantmaking, initiatives, and partnerships. Its research project Start From the Ground Up works to find ways to improve equality within the world of philanthropy, particularly focusing on providing opportunities to women and girls of color. It has also published a toolkit meant to strengthen discussion and action within philanthropy. The platform was initially started as a project by the NoVo Foundation, Foundation for a Just Society, Ms. Foundation for Women, The New York Women’s Foundation, Communities for Just Schools Fund, along with other partners.
