Overview: With locations throughout the world, the Oak Foundation runs 10 major programs that fund numerous fields of philanthropy, including gender equality and rights for women and girls. Its overall mission is to improve global, social, and environmental issues, especially for disadvantaged communities. The U.S. branch deals specifically with environmental issues and programs dedicated to equal education, as well as initiatives of special interest that lie outside of the 10 major programs.
