Southern Black Girls and Women’s Consortium
Overview: The Southern Black Girls and Women's Consortium is a collection of philanthropists and activists, all of which are Black women who lead organizations supporting racial and gender equality. The consortium dedicated to strengthening social movements for black women and girls in the southern United States through grantmaking. In 2018, it partnered with the NoVo Foundation to enact direct grantmaking and organize capacity building to locally-based organizations that would improve the lives of black women and girls.
