The Camelback Fellowship

Overview: Sponsored by Camelback Ventures, a New Orleans-based funding accelerator, the Camelback Fellowship connects up-and-coming entrepreneurs -- mainly people of color and women -- with the resources they need to facilitate successful growth and empowerment. Selected Fellows receive the "5 C's" of entrepreneurship: coaching, capital, connections, community, and curriculum. The current Fellowship focuses on three main impact areas: Education, Conscious Tech, and Local Economies. Over the six-month program, women and people of color representing start-ups or organizations in these three impact areas take part in rigorous training and curriculum. At the end of the program, Fellows come out equipped with the funding (up to US $40,000 in angel investments and seed funding), strategy, and networking connections to best set themselves up for success in their impact area.
