Overview: Thousand Currents is the newly branded International Development Exchange. This organization “evaluates, and grows the best ideas to alleviate poverty & injustice.” Areas of Interest include women’s empowerment, local economies, and environmental justice. Grant partnerships generally begin with a $5,000 catalyst grants. Funding in the future can range up to $15,000 for organizations receiving further support. Focus Countries include Guatemala, India, Mexico, Nepal, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.
