Overview: Formed in 1997, the Urgent Action Fund for Women’s Rights provides rapid response grants in the U.S. and internationally in two grantmaking areas: security and opportunity. Through its four branches located in the U.S., Africa, Latin America, and Asia, the organization funds women's and LGBTQ+ rights and promotes advocacy and alliance-building.
