East Bay Community Foundation

Overview: The East Bay Community Foundation partners with donors, social movements, community members to create a more equitable East Bay. The foundation has donated to over 1,500 nonprofits since its establishment. Funding areas: Social, racial, and economic justice; quality education for all students; good jobs, livable wages; high impact community programs. Its Race, Gender, and Human Rights Fund (RGHR Fund) focuses on the criminal justice system and its impact on women and families. Its Women’s Catalytic Fund (WCF) provides grants to organizers working to end gender-based inequity. Supported projects include the California Coalition for Women Prisoners, ACT for Women and Girls, and Justice Now.
