IIE WeTech Seed Fund Network

Overview: The WeTech Seed Fund Network, a program sponsored by IIE Global, encompasses 33 grantees from 16 different countries in Africa. This seed fund provides small grants to organizations and individuals working to build or grow already established programs supporting women and girls in computer science. Rather than focusing on programs that teach simple computer skills, the Seed Fund Network challenges grantees to grow programs in coding and computer development, geared toward improving access and education for women and girls pursuing careers related to computer science. Seed funding is available in grants of $2,000 to $5,000 for individuals and $5,000 to $20,000 for organizations with an annual operating budget of at least $25,000.
